Empowering Clients to Navigate Psychological Challenges and Discover Inner Strength
Dan Baljak is committed to helping clients overcome psychological challenges by fostering a sense of acceptance and agency. His approach focuses on guiding individuals to separate from overwhelming thoughts and emotions, creating space for self-awareness and emotional growth.
With a client-centered approach, Dan cultivates a compassionate environment where clients can explore their inner worlds, achieve self-knowledge, and develop self-love. He believes that when individuals feel safe in their internal experiences, they are better equipped to access resources and recognize the supportive assets around them.
Before transitioning to his role as a counselor and his position with DRW NeuroPerformance, Dan spent sixteen years as a special education teacher, working with children and youth, including those with a variety of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions. His experience also includes extensive psychoeducation and facilitating social-emotional learning goals, making him particularly skilled at working with school-aged clients. Dan’s deep understanding of neurodiverse individuals allows him to support clients in a meaningful and effective way, helping them build resilience and thrive in their personal and academic lives.
